Void is a file organizer. Itâs hash-based, it heavily relies on the calculation of hash sums: hierarchy is relatively flat, with files being renamed to their hashes, however the original file names are being stored in special .void text files.
Void is being developed primarily for Windows, however it can be adapted to support Linux.
Void is created and maintained by liledixâ´.
In the future, Void is planned to be expanded to the self-hosted file tracker that parses file lists from repositories and provides various sources of choice to download specific files.
Basically, you pick a list of repositories containing .void files. Those files may contain links for download. You use WebUI or CLI or any other interface to fetch files using metadata you know: hash (full or partial), file name, file extension, file size, and so on.
Thatâs how you achieve easy public sharing while also maintaining file integrity by default, allowing for some security.
